Volterrano is a Great road that goes up from Rio dell’Elba and allows you to enjoy a wonderful view of Isola d’Elba south-east coast.
Start your tour from Porto Azzurro village going toward Rio dell’Elba where the climbing is limited to an average of 6% then, once you reach fonte Coppi, the road goes almost flat until Rio.
From Rio dell’Elba take Volterrano road and after a climbing of few kms at an everage steep of 9% you will reach the top an enjoy the view! Do it early in the morning.
